What is World Childless Week?
World Childless Week aims to raise public awareness about people who are childless by circumstance (those who have not chosen to be childless).
The aim of this annual event is to enable every person who is childless by circumstance to share their story in complete confidence. The week is open to anyone who doesn’t have a child, even though they’ve always wanted one.
Note that all the ambassadors of this event, as well as its founder Stephanie Joy Phillips, are childless by circumstance.
We’re proud to be there for you all year round, but we’ll be particularly vocal in September, from the 11th to the 17th.
What are the themes?
September 11, 2023: Our stories
September 12, 2023: Childless stepparent
September 13, 2023: A letter to the person who hurt me the most
September 14, 2023: Childless in the media

Who is the creator of WCW, Stephanie Joy Philips?
Before founding World Childless Week in 2017, Stephanie created three support groups for childless people by circumstance in 2016 on Facebook. All three groups are free and welcome anyone who is childless by circumstance, infertility or chance. Childless Path To Acceptance focuses on support, Childless Chit Chat is a trigger-free zone and Childless Perks is dedicated to laughter and discovering the positive aspects of childlessness, without a parent saying “I told you so”.
